Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Secretary of State for Social Inclusion, Lídia Lima, visits May, from Saturday to Tuesday, 14th, for consultations and verification of the conditions for the implementation of the Day Center for Children and Adolescents in “lha DO Porto Inglês” .
The Government says – in a press release – that the implementation of the aforementioned Center is being carried out in partnership with local associations, namely the Cadjetinha Association, the Maio Diversity Foundation, the Smiley Kids Association and the INNA-Maio Association.
Lídia Lima is accompanied by the president of the Cape Verdean Institute for Children and Adolescents (ICCA), Maria do Livramento Silva, having on her agenda a meeting with the ICCA representative in Maio, as well as with the “Salvation Patrol”, which “is a Group of Children who support other Children” in the Schools of that Municipality.
The official will also pay a Courtesy Visit to the Mayor of Maio, Miguel Rosa, and will also have a meeting with the Municipal Committee for the Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents on the agenda, a visit to the Municipal Kindergarten of Barreiro and the Organization’s Creche of Cape Verde Women, in the City of Porto Inglês – the Capital of the Municipality.
Lídia Lima’s Mission to “Ilha das Salinas” ends with a meeting with the Parents and/or Guardians and Families of Calheta, on the Protection of Children and Adolescents on the Island of Maio.
