As reported by Lusa, the training takes place on the island of São Vicente as part of an exercise called “Granite Falco” and includes practical scenarios using helicopters.

22 members of the New Hampshire National Guard and around 40 military personnel from the Armed Forces of Cape Verde participate in the activity, including aviators, doctors and mechanics.

Cape Verde, through the Ministry of Defense, and the National Guard of the state of New Hampshire have a partnership protocol signed on February 4, 2022.
