Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries (MCIC) today appointed, through Resolution n.o 41/2023, Vandrea Monteiro as the new General Director of Arts and Creative Industries. Vandrea, who was born in the city of Praia, Santiago, has led the project portfolios in recent years, with special emphasis on public notices to encourage artistic creation.
According to the Ministry’s statement, the new Director has a degree in Journalism from the Superior School of Social Communication in Lisbon, Portugal, and has held, until now, the position of Advisor for Public Relations, Social Communication, Digital Marketing and support for Projects at the MCIC.
Vandrea Monteiro is, according to the same source, an actress and storyteller and has also “navigated” through the world of writing.
