The accumulated Incidence Rate, at the National Level (in this period), was 24 per 100,000 inhabitants, the Transmissibility Rate (Rt) was 0.63 and the Positivity Rate, on average, was 1.7 percent ( %).
Regarding Vaccination, by August 7, Cape Verde had already used 77,2945 (70.4%) doses of vaccines against COVID-19. Of the estimated number of adults, 320 thousand 530 (98.4%) had already taken the First Dose; 279 thousand 656 (85.8%) of
adults had already been fully vaccinated; and a total of 113 thousand 173 (34.7%) had already received the Booster Dose.
Regarding adolescents, a total of 47 thousand (87.4%) had already received the First Dose, while 39 thousand 548 (73.6%) were already fully vaccinated.
In order to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Cape Verde, MS appeals to people to join the Vaccination Campaign, which is taking place throughout the Archipelago, so that everyone can be more protected, as soon as possible. .
It is also recalled that the use of face masks is recommended, especially in any indoor or closed space, although it is mandatory only in Health Establishments and Infrastructures (Public and Private), Day Centers and Elderly Homes. (Public and/or Private), Prison Establishments and Collective Transport for Land, Air and Sea Passengers. Hand hygiene to prevent the spread of COVID-19 remains equally important.
