Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verdeans moved more than 2 billion escudos between December 28 and January 1 on the vinti4 network, according to data from the Interbank Society and Payment Systems (SISP).
According to the data, in the reference period, 415,664 purchase operations were registered in the Automatic Payment terminals (POS), in the amount of one thousand three hundred and ten million, seven hundred thousand and one hundred and thirty escudos (1,310,700,130), an increase of 26 % compared to the same period in 2021.
In withdrawals in the vinti4 boxes, 133,595 operations were carried out, totaling seven hundred and eighty-nine million, four hundred and fifty-five thousand escudos (789,455,000), 13% more compared to the same period of 2021.

The same source indicated that a total of 549,259 operations were handled in the “purchases and withdrawals” operations on the vinti4 network, which represents in terms of absolute value two thousand, one hundred million, one hundred and fifty-five thousand, one hundred and thirty escudos ( 2,100,155,130) with an increase of around 22 and 21% respectively.
In terms of transfers, 5,046 operations were registered in a total of one hundred and seventy-three million, one hundred and sixty-six thousand, one hundred and ninety-four escudos (173,166,194 escudos), an increase of 46% in the number of operations and 49% in value.
