Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verde women’s football team started today, at the stadium of Várzea, in Praia, the preparation training for the international tournament of the senior women’s teams of the West African Union of Federations ( UFOA).
The regional competition will take place from the 20th of January to the 1st of February, on Sal Island, and, according to the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF), there is already a guarantee of the participation of Cape Verde, as host country, Gambia , Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal and Sierra Leone.
Speaking to Inforpress, after this first training session, the national women’s football team, Silvéria Nédio, who had 23 pre-summoned, said the footballers were in good physical condition.
“It was a positive training session, the girls didn’t show any fatigue, they were up to it and they’re motivated”, noted Silvéria Nédio, praising the players’ spirit of commitment and “the happiness and contentment” reigning within the group.
