Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verdean athlete Yanick Duarte won two silver medals with the colors of Cape Verde, at the European Jiu-Jitsu Championship (IBJJF 2023) held in Paris, France.
Born in São Vicente, Yanick Duarte took the Cape Verde Flag to the Podium at the European Jiu-Jitsu Championship, twice
winning a silver medal, in the Ultra Heavy Weight category and another in the Open Class category.
“Two silver medals at the European Championships in Paris. 7 tough fights, but 90% happy with the result”, said the athlete who represents the CheckMat academy, quoted by CrioloSports.
Remember that Yanick Duarte had already won the title of European champion in the Ultra Heavy Weight category, in the “2022 International Master Europe IBJJF Jiu-jitsu championship”.
