Africa-Press – Eritrea. The Anseba Region branch of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students conducted its annual activity assessment meeting for 2025 on 8 and 10 December in Keren.

Mr. Azazi Bereketeab, head of the regional union branch, said that all the set-out programs of the union have been successfully implemented through strong participation of members in collaboration with partners.

According to reports presented at the meeting, around 4,000 youth have been provided with vocational training in various fields; tours to historical and development sites have been organized at regional and sub-zonal levels; and innovation and creativity displays and book fairs have been conducted.

Mr. Azazi also said that efforts are being exerted to expand and strengthen youth organizations, enhance the capacity of youth, as well as encourage youth to voluntarily contribute to peer education programs.

Commending the efforts being exerted to enhance awareness and organization of youth, Mr. Mulu’e Tesfamariam, head of Political Affairs of the PFDJ in the region, called for reinforced efforts for better outcomes.

Mr. Salah Ahmedin, Chairman of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students, on his part, indicating that voluntarism and commitment are the main characteristics of union members, called for strengthening the role of union leaders at all levels in realizing the objectives of the union.
