Africa-Press – Eritrea. Odinaka Okoro and Daniel Bameyi, the captain of the Flying Eagles, were selected for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations’ official Best XI for the group stage.
The technical study group of the Confederation of African Football, or CAF, made the announcement. So far in the campaign, Bameyi has been a standout for Nigeria, skilfully leading the backline.
In the Flying Eagles’ 0-0 draw with Morocco, the centre-back was named Man of the Match. In the team’s first game against Tunisia, left-back Okoro recorded an assist.
In addition, Okoro performed admirably against Kenya and Morocco. On Monday, Aliyu Zubairu’s team will play Senegal in a semi-final match at Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.
