Africa-Press – Eritrea. Thirteen patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at Quarantine Centers and Testing Stations in the Central, Southern, and Northern Red Sea Regions.
Out of these, six patients are from Quarantine Centers and Testing Stations in Maekel Ketema (2), Godaif (2), and Setanta’otto (2); Central Region. Six patients are from Testing Stations and Quarantine Centers in Adi Quala (3), Mai-Mine (2), and Mendefera (1); Southern Region. The last patient is from Quarantine Center in Ginda, Northern Red Sea Region.
On the other hand, thirty patients who have been receiving medical treatment in hospitals in the Southern (17) and Central (13) Regions have recovered fully and have been discharged from these facilities. Sadly, 55 years old patient from the Central Region has passed away due to the pandemic.
The total number of recovered patients has accordingly increased to 6,893 while the number of deaths has risen to 52.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country to date has increased to 7,076.
