Africa-Press – Eritrea. Twenty-three patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at Quarantine Centers and Testing Stations in the Southern, Central, and Gash Barka Regions.
Out of these, twelve patients are from Testing Stations in Mendefera (5), Adi-Keih (3), Dubarwa (2), Segeneity (1), and Adi-Quala (1); Southewrn Region. Nine patients are from Quarantine Centers (5), and Testing Stations in Denden Camp (1), Akria (1), Modoshto (1), and Campo-Polo (1); Central Region. Two patients are from Quarantine Centers in Barentu (1) and Haikota (1); Gash Barks Region.
On the other hand, forty patients who have been receiving medical treatment in hospitals in Central (30) and Southern (10) Regions have recovered fully and have been discharged from these facilities. Sadly, 70 years old patient from the Central Region has passed away due to the pandemic.
The total number of recovered patients has accordingly increased to 6,962 while the number of deaths has risen to 54.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country to date has increased to 7,156.
