While the Gunners have shown strong interest for months, Manchester United’s late entry into the race has complicated matters. During Arsenal’s preseason tour in Singapore, Arteta admitted the squad lacks depth and confirmed the club is still “studying the market” with intent to strengthen.
Pressed specifically on Gyökeres, Arteta remained firm: “I can’t comment on a player who is not yet part of our team.” His careful choice of words, however, left room for optimism among Arsenal fans, as the word “yet” hints at ongoing negotiations. With the transfer window far from over, the Swedish forward’s future remains wide open.
