Africa-Press – Eritrea. Paris Saint-Germain and Fenerbahçe have reached an agreement for the transfer of Marco Asensio, who is no longer part of Luis Enrique’s plans.
Marco Asensio, who impressed during a six-month loan at Aston Villa with 8 goals and 1 assist in 21 appearances, returned to Paris this summer but was left out of PSG’s Club World Cup squad.
Under contract until 2026, The Spanish forward is expected to leave after tallying 7 goals and 11 assists in 47 matches for the French champions.
According to multiple sources, Fenerbahçe have convinced PSG with a transfer offer reportedly worth around €15 million. However, the Turkish club still needs to find an agreement with the player himself. Turkish media claim José Mourinho’s side has proposed a €9 million annual salary, which Asensio considers too low. Talks are ongoing, but both sides remain optimistic.
Asensio, who joined PSG on a free transfer in 2023, remains a valuable asset on the European market and has also attracted interest from Inter Milan. If Fenerbahçe can finalize personal terms, the former Real Madrid star appears set to begin a new chapter in the Turkish Süper Lig.
