CAF Executive Committee Meets in Dar es Salaam for Review

Africa-Press – Eritrea. The Confederation of African Football will hold an Executive Committee meeting on February 13 at the Hyatt Regency in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe set to chair the high-level session. A press conference will follow immediately after the meeting, where key outcomes and decisions are expected to be communicated.

The gathering comes weeks after Dr. Motsepe announced on January 30 that an Executive Committee meeting had been called. As CAF’s highest decision-making body outside the General Assembly, the ExCo is expected to focus on critical governance matters affecting African football.

Central to the agenda will be a review of important CAF Regulations, including the CAF Disciplinary Code. The objective is to empower CAF Judicial Bodies with stronger and more dissuasive sanctions for serious breaches of CAF Statutes and Regulations, as well as for conduct that undermines the reputation, integrity, and global competitiveness of African football and CAF competitions. The meeting is seen as a significant step in CAF’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, protect the image of the game, and raise standards across the continent.
