Africa-Press – Eritrea. The Confederation of African Football has taken a firm stance after a chaotic weekend in the Champions League, condemning the troubling scenes that unfolded during matches involving AS FAR, Al Ahly, JS Kabylie and Young Africans.

In a brief note issued on Monday, the continent’s football governing body expressed deep concern over what it described as serious breaches of safety and security. CAF highlighted that the disturbances occurred during the group stage fixtures between AS FAR and Al Ahly, and between JS Kabylie and Young Africans on November 28.

CAF’s statement was direct, stressing that such behavior threatens the integrity of the competition and the safety of players, officials and supporters. The organisation confirmed that the incidents have now been handed over to its Disciplinary Committee, which will open an official investigation and determine the appropriate sanctions.

This latest development adds to growing worries over crowd management and fan conduct in key fixtures across the continent. With the Champions League still in its early stages, all eyes will be on the committee’s findings and the steps CAF intends to take to prevent further disruptions.
