Africa-Press – Eritrea. Jamie Carragher appealed to Mohamed Salah on Sky Sports on Monday evening during the program Monday Night Football.
The former defender does not want to see the Egyptian leave Liverpool and believes he would regret it later.
“I don’t see Salah playing for Liverpool next season,” Carragher began. “What matters most to me is how he wants to finish this year. If he’s considering a transfer, I advise him to think twice.”
This is a very different tone from the one Carragher used a few days ago. Last Thursday, the consultant said it was time to leave for Salah after his negative comments about the club and coach Arne Slot.
“I don’t see him going to Real Madrid or Barcelona. I think he’ll go to Saudi Arabia,” Carragher continued.
“Liverpool could reach the Champions League final this season. Can you imagine? Salah in Saudi Arabia, playing for whatever team, watching Liverpool play in the final.”
According to the England international with 38 caps, the Egyptian needs to quickly ease tensions with Slot.
“Put your problems with the coach aside for a few months. The worst that can happen is a grand farewell.”
“The best thing is for Salah to play in the Champions League final in Budapest with his teammates. If he were in Saudi Arabia, he would regret it bitterly,” Carragher concluded.
