At an activity assessment meeting conducted by the civil youth workers’ organization in Teseney sub-zone, Mr. Meles Gebray, head of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students in the sub-zone, reported that the organization has demonstrated commendable participation in the implementation of development programs.

Mr. Meles said that over the past three years, the youth workers’ organization has carried out commendable activities in cultural, sports, political, and development programs.

The heads of the youth workers’ organizations provided activity reports outlining the achievements registered and the challenges encountered. According to the reports presented, various activities have been carried out, including youth-focused training programs, sports competitions, support to disadvantaged citizens, and popular campaigns, among others.

Mr. Abdelhamid Ismail, head of the PFDJ in the sub-zone, expressed his conviction to stand alongside the union branch in all its endeavors.

Mr. Seium Gebreyesus, administrator of the sub-zone, commended the efforts of the civil youth workers’ organization in transferring the noble culture, history, and values of the Eritrean people to the young generation, and called for the sustainability of the effort.

At the event, an 11-member executive committee was elected.

Eritrea has a rich history of youth involvement in national development, rooted in its struggle for independence. The National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students has played a crucial role in mobilizing young people for various initiatives aimed at fostering cultural pride and community support. This engagement is vital for sustaining the nation’s values and addressing contemporary challenges faced by the youth today.
