Africa-Press – Eritrea. Asmara, 28 July 2021- Eritrean community festival in the Netherlands was conducted on 24 July with limited participation of nationals due to the new restrictions issued by the Government of the Netherlands pertaining COVID-19 pandemic.
Indicating that the annual Eritrean community festivals have significant contributions in transferring the noble national and societal values to generations, Mr. Isak Minasie, head of Consular and Public Affairs, called for reinforced participation of nationals in future festivals.
At the festival, Mr. Negassi Kassa, Eritrean Ambassador to the European Union and Benelux countries, gave extensive briefing on the diplomatic activities the Eritrean Government is conducting to strengthen peace, stability, and cooperation in the region alongside the effort to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Negassi also called on the nationals to strengthen their contribution to the effort the Government of Eritrea is exerting to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ms. Elsa Seyum also gave a briefing on the activities the National Union of Eritrean Women branch is conducting in cooperation with the other national organizations.
