Africa-Press – Eritrea. The 2026 World Cup, which will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is already shaping up to be historic.

Indeed, the novelty will not only be on the field, but also on the small screen: the French team’s matches will no longer be broadcast on TF1, as was the tradition, but on M6.

For the first time in decades, viewers will have to change channels to follow the exploits of Les Bleus.

M6 has made a big splash by securing exclusive broadcasting rights not only for the 2026 World Cup, but also for the 2030 World Cup, for an estimated colossal sum of €100 million.

This acquisition marks a historic break with TF1, the broadcaster that until now had embodied the tradition of major international competitions for the French national team.
