Africa-Press – Eritrea. Real Mallorca beat Real Sociedad 5-4 on penalties to advance to Spain’s Copa Del Rey final on Tuesday after their second-leg match ended in a 1-1 draw following extra time.
Giovanni Gonzalez’s header brought the lead to Mallorca in the 50th minute at Anoeta Stadium.
Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad leveled the score with a right footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom left corner in the 71st minute.
Oyarzabal missed the first penalty for Sociedad in the shootout to let Mallorca reach the final.
The first leg ended with a goalless draw on Feb. 6.
Mallorca will take on the winner of Thursday’s semifinal clash between Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid in the final on April 6.
