Africa-Press – Eritrea. Ambassador Abdella Musa, Governor of Anseba Region, conducted a meeting with heads of departments in the regional administration and sub-zonal administrators on the implementation of development programs planned for 2026.

Ambassador Abdella indicated that the development programs for 2026 include ensuring potable water supply, the expansion of social service institutions, as well as sports facilities, and called for a coordinated effort for their implementation.

Noting that, as a result of the integrated effort of all institutions, major development programs that brought visible change in the lives of the public have been implemented, Ambassador Abdella called for the implementation of measurable development programs in the sub-zones based on the experience already gained.

Explaining the programs to expand and develop social service institutions and sports facilities, Ambassador Abdella called for a reinforced role of the community.

The sub-zonal administrators, on their part, expressed readiness to play their due role in the implementation of the planned development programs.

Eritrea has faced numerous challenges since its independence in 1993, including economic hardships and limited access to basic services. The government has prioritized development programs to improve living conditions and infrastructure, particularly in rural areas. Recent initiatives have focused on enhancing social services and community engagement to foster sustainable growth and resilience.
