Africa-Press – Eritrea. As we enter the new year, we find ourselves amidst unprecedented challenges—both in our region and across the globe—marked by escalating conflicts, widespread instability, and a growing deficit of peace, trust, and collective humanitarian solidarity.
In the face of such formidable and turbulent circumstances, the people and government of Eritrea remain fully resolved. With steadfast determination, clear-sightedness, and resilient unity, we are committed to safeguarding our national sovereignty and dignity while actively engaging with all regional and international actors to advance shared national learning and collaboration.
Looking ahead to 2026, I express my profound optimism that this nation will continue to steadily advance its journey of reconstruction, development, and national education, guided by an ever-brightening beacon of hope. To the entire Eritrean people—both at home and abroad—and to all our brothers and sisters in humanity, I extend my warmest wishes: “May the grace of John be upon you, and may the New Year and your rebirth be filled with blessings.”
