Africa-Press – Eritrea. Government employees in the sub-zones of Keren, Habero, and Halhal in the Anseba Region contributed 200,000 Nakfa in support of families of martyrs.
Accordingly, 50,000 Nakfa contributed by members of the PFDJ in Keren and the Keren Municipality administration was distributed to martyr families. Contributions of 100,000 Nakfa and 50,000 Nakfa from residents in the Habero and Halhal sub-zones, respectively, were also distributed to martyr families.
Sub-zone administrators, underlining that supporting the families of martyrs is the responsibility of every citizen, commended the initiative.
Similarly, over 280,000 Nakfa contributed by Government employees and individuals in the sub-zones of Forto Sawa, Molqi, and Mogolo in the Gash Barka Region was disbursed to martyr families. Accordingly, 105,000 Nakfa collected in Forto Sawa sub-zone was distributed to 21 families of martyrs; over 73,000 Nakfa to 36 families in the Molqi sub-zone; and 30,000 Nakfa to six families in the Mogolo sub-zone.
Sub-zone administrators praised the initiative taken by the residents and called for its sustainability.
In the same vein, residents of the Akria and Paradizo sub-zones extended both financial and material support to martyr families in connection with Martyrs’ Day.
