Africa-Press – Eritrea. Artificial Intelligence (AI) brings growth opportunities to companies and allows managers to make commercial processes more efficient, agile and profitable, said the president of the Association of Service Providers of the Angolan Oil Industry (AECIPA), Bráulio de Brito, on Thursday in Luanda. The idea was expressed by the person in charge to the press, on the sidelines of the workshop held under the theme “Artificial Intelligence – The Key to Unlocking Human Potential”, the aim of which is to help revolutionise operational efficiency and innovation in the Angolan business sector.
The aim of the event, explained Bráulio de Brito, was to take advantage of the presence of one of the AI experts and share knowledge on issues experienced around the topic that contributes to the creation of a platform that is more suited to the current situation.
Regarding the use of these means by oil companies in the country, the person in charge assured that it is still a new challenge in terms of learning and implementation, although it is already quickly becoming part of the plans of companies in the sector in Angola.
The strategic member of the EY Advisory Board, Naiole Cohen dos Santos, considered that companies and individual users should make the best use of this tool as there are no obstacles to this.
Companies and other users, he said, should take advantage of the tools already available, for example in terms of human resources, which have routine functions and processes that can be digitized and enhanced through the AI of existing instruments.
For his part, speaker Sérgio Ferreira said that companies can take advantage of the current tools available in several ways, one of which is adopting them for their businesses, with a view to increasing not only productivity, but also the quality of day-to-day production.
For the expert, AI has the potential to bring significant benefits to society and the global economy, but it also raises challenges and concerns.
