Africa-Press – Eritrea. “Qohaito” Award has been presented to 104 outstanding students in Adi-Keih sub-zone who scored high marks in the eighth-grade national examination for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Mr. Beyene Tesfay, head of the education office in the sub-zone, said that out of the 1,252 students who sat for the examination, 87% scored passing marks, representing a nine-fold increase compared to the previous year.
Mr. Habtai Tesfazgi, administrator of the sub-zone, noted that encouraging outstanding students plays a significant role in enhancing competitiveness among students and called on parents to maintain regular follow-up on their children’s academic performance.
In the same vein, five additional classrooms have been constructed at Adi-Keih Elementary School with a view to accommodating more students.
Adi-Keih Elementary School, which includes kindergarten, currently provides educational services to 1,628 students.
