The participants, on their part, expressed conviction to strengthen the Eritrean community in Kenya and called for the organization of similar seminars.

Eritrea gained independence from Ethiopia in 1993 after a long struggle, leading to a unique national identity. The Eritrean diaspora, particularly in Kenya, plays a crucial role in maintaining cultural ties and supporting national development. Seminars like the one conducted by Ambassador Beyene are vital for fostering community cohesion and encouraging active participation in national issues among expatriates. Such events help bridge the gap between nationals abroad and their homeland, reinforcing a sense of belonging and responsibility.
