On March 22, Mr. Tewolde Yohannes from the Eritrean Embassy conducted a seminar in Stoke-on-Trent for Eritrean nationals. The seminar focused on the current situation in Eritrea and global developments, encouraging participants to engage in national development efforts. Mr. Tewolde Yohannes, head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in the UK and Ireland, conducted a seminar for nationals residing in the city of Stoke-on-Trent on 22 March focusing on the objective situation in the homeland, as well as regional and global developments.

At the event, Mr. Tewolde gave an extensive briefing on the global geopolitical situation, the regional situation, as well as the political, diplomatic, and developmental activities being carried out and their progress. He also called on nationals residing in Stoke-on-Trent to strengthen organizational capacity, unity, and participation in national development programs.

The participants, on their part, expressed the significance of the seminar in enhancing their understanding of the objective situation in the homeland and affirmed their conviction to strengthen participation in national affairs.

Eritrea gained independence from Ethiopia in 1993 after a long struggle, and since then, it has faced various challenges, including political isolation and economic difficulties. The Eritrean government emphasizes the importance of national unity and development, often engaging its diaspora to support these efforts.
