Africa-Press – Eritrea. Mendefera, 15 December 2025 – The Southern Region branch of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students conducted its annual activity assessment meeting for 2025 on 11 December in Senafe.
Noting that thorough review of previous programs is vital for preserving strengths and addressing challenges, Mr. Girmay Gebru, Head of the Regional Union Branch, called on all members of society to play their due part in the effort to nurture competent youth who adhere to the noble culture and values of society.
At the event, reports were presented focusing on seminars and promotional activities conducted to enhance political awareness and organization among the youth, innovation and creativity initiatives, as well as sports competitions and youth week activities. Participants conducted extensive discussions on the reports presented and adopted various recommendations.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Idris Ali Shiker, Administrator of Senafe Sub-zone, said that guiding and nurturing the youth is not only the responsibility of a specific organization, and called on the public and stakeholders to play their due part.
The participants of the meeting also visited the historical sites of Belew-Kelew, Metera, and Keskese in the sub-zone.
