Africa-Press – Eritrea. Nationals residing in Egypt and Germany have conducted meetings aimed at strengthening organizational capacity, awareness, and participation in national affairs.
At the meeting conducted in Cairo on 10 August, 20 youth who completed training on political, historical, and cultural issues were awarded certificates of participation.
Congratulating the trainees, Mr. Mohammed-Nur Idris, Head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Egypt, said the training will make a significant contribution to enhancing their understanding and awareness of their country’s current situation. He added that the program will also enable them to positively influence their peers in their communities.
Likewise, Mr. Teklu Lebasy, Coordinator of Consular Affairs and Public Diplomacy in Germany, held discussions with members of the Eritrean community in the city of Magdeburg on 9 August. He also gave an extensive briefing on the importance of enhancing identity, preserving and transferring culture and noble values, as well as reflecting the rich heritage and resources of the country.
Regarding consular services, Mr. Teklu stated that when service providers and service seekers work in harmony, it becomes easier to provide timely and effective consular services.
Mr. Hagos Teklom, Chairman of the Eritrean Community in Magdeburg, called on the Eritrean Embassy and communities to stand alongside them in efforts to strengthen their organization and contributions.
