Mr. Idris Abdu, head of the education office in the sub-zone, said that the training will make a significant contribution to addressing the challenges schools have been facing in material usage and documentation.

Mr. Kibrom Gebrezgi, chairman of the teachers’ association in the region, called on the trainees to apply the knowledge they gained from the training in addressing the challenges schools have been facing.

Education in Eritrea has undergone significant changes since independence in 1993, with a focus on improving access and quality. The government has prioritized teacher training programs to address challenges in the education sector, particularly in rural areas like Hagaz. These initiatives aim to enhance the skills of educators and improve overall educational outcomes for students. The collaboration between local education offices and teachers’ associations plays a crucial role in implementing effective training programs.
