BULL, LEOPARD AGREE ON ‘MANYOVU’S TRANSFER FEE

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mbabane Highlanders and Royal Leopard have reportedly agreed on a E50 000 transfer fee for former Eswatini international Bonginkhosi ‘Manyovu’ Dlamini.

This follows recent reports that Leopard had agreed to reduce the player’s price tag from E150 000 to E50 000.

The former Sagrada Esperanca winger was unveiled last month at Somhlolo National Stadium by Highlanders boss Chief Ally Kgomongwe during the team’s CAF Confederation Cup first round encounter against South Africa’s DStv Premiership side Royal AM.

According to a source close to the matter ‘Manyovu’ was already training with the Dumisani Makhanya-led side ahead of their clash with Moneni Pirates tomorrow at Mavuso Sports Centre. “The two have agreed on the transfer of the player and they are now finalising a few logistics,” the source said.

The Eswatini international returned to the country in August from doing duty with Angola’s top side Sagrada after both parties agreed to terminate the two-year contract signed by the player early this year, hardly eight months after ‘Manyovu’ signed on the dotted line.

When Leopard released the player early this year, the agreement was that should the contract not reach its end or be breached, ‘Manyovu’ would return to the police side with his clearance.

Kgomongwe said talks about the deal were at an advanced stage, confirming that ‘Manyovu’ was training and complying to all team rules like the rest of the players.

Meanwhile, Leopard Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frank Hurube said he was not privy to information on the figures involved, as the matter was still being dealt with at a higher level.
