Africa-Press – Eswatini. His Majesty King Mswati III is impressed with the increase in the number of Ingaja regiment who joined the Little Incwala.

This was as he commissioned multitudes of the Hhohho young male regiment converged at buhleni Royal Residence yesterday.

The Ingaja is expected to cut the sacred shrub, Lusekwane.

The large assembly of the regiment sang, danced uniformly and jumped in jubilation while whistling as the Royal command was being given.

The king said he expected more of the regiment today at ngabezweni Royal Residence, where he is expected to commission ingaja to cut the sacred shrub.

His majesty encouraged the ingaja to after lifts and ferry those they will find along the way.

He spoke through Indvuna Phanginjobo Matisa, who took to the stage after singing and dancing of Incabakancofula.

Matisa also noted the presence of the king’s guests from the neighbouring Republic of South Africa Deputy President, David Dabede Mabuza, SA property mogul Roux Shabangu and some traditional leaders who included Sisitwako II, Dzingabaleni, Hhoyi II, Manyovu IIi and Mbangwiswa Mdluli.

They joined, sang and danced the Little Incwala excitedly as they paid homage to the king, some of whom were attending the ceremony for the first time.

“His Majesty is impressed by the huge turnout of Ingaja and that he expects more when he meets you tomorrow at ngabezweni Royal Residence. He also urges that you ferry others you will find along the way,” said Matisa.

“The king is also pleased with the presence of SA’s deputy president and some chiefs from SA. He said this meant our national prayer is known worldwide,” he said.

Adding, the king stated that Ingaja will rest at Bulandzeni Royal Kraal before continuing with their journey tomorrow to ngabezweni Royal Residence, where he would meet them. Ingaja was warned of the do’s and don’ts as they partake in the national and Royal assignment to cut and collect the sacred shrub at Masundvwini.

“His Majesty officially sends you off and commissions you. You will rest at Bulandzeni Royal Kraal and proceed tomorrow to ngabezweni Royal Residence. Bayethe! Wena waPhakathi,” stated Metisa. King’s Office Director of Communications and Information, Percy Simelane, disclosed that the deputy president left after dancing the Little Incwala.
