Police Urged to Intensify Crackdown on Facata Syndicate

Africa-Press – Eswatini. National Commissioner Vusi Manoma Masango who intensified a crackdown on the “facata” syndicate shortly after being appointed by the King has been urged to intensify the arrests as a new syndicate emerges.

The National Commissioner was applauded by members of the public after the arrest of members of the “facata”, however, a new syndicate has emerged.

But Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini received a call from a member of the syndicate on Tuesday, the caller pretended to be working for the Fraud Department of the Royal Eswatini Police investigating cyber criminals tempering with his bank account.

But after realizing that, the editor was asking more questions, the caller terminated the conversation and subsequently forwarded the number to the National Police Commissioner on Tuesday and appealed to him to intensify the crackdown on new syndicate.

The National Commissioner responded positively to the editor’s message, the “facata” syndicate defrauded emaSwati including the elderly thousands of Rands.
