Africa-Press – Eswatini. MBABANE Swallows stand-in board Chairman Masotja Vilakati had a meeting with coach Caleb Ngwenya on Tuesday with an aim of resolving stumbling blocks in the way of the mentor returning to the team and it was fruitful.

The coach, who has been missing from the team’s activities since last week, has since returned to the Birds next.

This was after reports emerged that Ngwenya was reportedly unhappy with what he deemed as interference in his duties.

He was also facing anger from fans, who were unhappy with the club’s recent performances which saw the team lose two cup finals within a month.

The fans were questioning the coach’s tactics.

The coach’s return was confirmed by Mbabane Swallows Public Relations Officer (PRO) Knowledge ‘Bhambo’ Ngwenya through a statement.

He said the coach and the club had ironed out their differences and he was back with the team.

“As Mbabane Swallows FC management we would like to confirm that the head coach Caleb Ngwenya did meet the stand-in Board Chairman Masotja Vilakati wherein he expressed his concerns amid his work. All was discussed and solved amicably,” he said.

He said they were happy that the coach was back.

The PRO further appealed to fans to exercise patience as the team’s technical bench executed its duties.

“We appeal to Mbabane Swallows family to allow the technical team to execute their duties as they have a running contract with Mbabane Swallows FC which they have to fulfil as per its obligations,” said the PRO.

He also applauded the media for giving them space when addressing this issue as per the spirit of employer and employee. On another note, Ngwenya also gave an update on Leon Manyisa.

“Our injured player Leon is healing, but as per the doctor’s report he needs some time to heal completely, to allow him to return to training.”

He said they would not rush the player but allow him to heal completely before returning to full time training.

Umkhonto kaShaka will be in action this weekend when they face-off with Royal Leopard at Mavuso Sports Centre on Saturday.
