Africa-Press – Eswatini. Zakhele Myeni is the new Eswatini Schools Sports Association (ESSA) president, after beating Anthony Mdluli by 32 votes to lead the association.

The former president Mdluli who is also Sihlangu Semnikati assistant coach lost out to Myeni during the elections which were held at SNAT Centre offices on Friday.

This was during the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was an elective year.

Thami Shongwe is the new vice president while Felicity Dlamini retained her position after she was re-elected going uncontested in the secretary general position.

Lucky Dlamini is the treasurer, Henry Mavuso the organising secretary and Xolile Dlamini is the recording secretary.

ESSA Secretary General Felicity Dlamini congratulated Myeni for being elected as the new president, wishing him all the best during his term in office.

“We wish him all the best and we are looking forward to working with him and also congratulate the new executive,’’ she said.

Dlamini also wished the former president Anthony Mdluli the best in his future endeavours having worked well together.

She also mentioned that they were going for branch elections on the 17th of November and deadline for submissions of nomination forms was 13 November
