Africa-Press – Eswatini. Buhleni Royal Residence Emaswati were enthralled at seeing Her Majesty the Indlovukazi present during the first Buganu Festival in two years.

The thousands of Lutsango members ululated as Indlovukazi arrived at the area on Saturday and when she later took to the stage. In what was a hair-raising moment, the crowds whistled and screamed excitedly, expressing their joy when the Queen Mother was preparing to make her speech.

The Queen Mother has just returned from an external trip, arriving in time for this weekend’s event, which had been postponed ahead of her trip, believed to be on medical grounds.

There was a lot of speculation leading to the event that the Queen Mother would not be able to make it. However, her presence at this weekend’s event came as a pleasant surprise for those in attendance.

Interviewed people stated that their joy was at the fact that Her Majesty had been declared dead several times by some people in the social media.

Ministry of Education and Training Principal Secretary Bheki Gama expressed his excitement, especially hearing her speak in a lively voice. “It was also great seeing her alive. Having both the King and Queen Mother speak in the same event was unprecedented and ‘applaudable’.

“We normally see her dance at this event whereas this year she made a speech which was also insightful.

Overall, I am a happy person,” he said. Simangele Dlamini said Indlovukazi proved critics wrong and dispelled what had been said in social media platforms. She said her posture and how she represented herself physically proved that she wasn’t frail.

“We saw her up-close, she looked healthy and more. She didn’t gasp as well, she was healthy,” she said.

Ngibongiseni Mpanza added that even the skeptics were proven wrong. Even after she came back, there were rumours that she will be represented by one of Balondolozi.

“That also proved to be untrue, at some point we believed the social media too much and we were taken aback by the lies there. Now, we don’t know whose report we will ever believe,” he said.
