Africa-Press – Eswatini. After the release of his Extended Play titled ‘4 The Wolves’ (which dropped last Friday), DJ !Sooks has hinted the release of an album next year.

The artist confirmed that the EP was his last project this year, and that it would not make sense for him to drop another project after this one. He added that this was because there were already conversations about releasing an album next year.

“I need to plan around that; things such as the roll-out, the feel of the album, the story and more. I think next year I will be dropping an album.

“The album, however, would probably not be released all at once as a single package but with singles leading to the album. Expect more music next year and a body of work like how we did this year,” said the DJ. !Sooks further confirmed that he would drop a single between February and March, asking that fans stay tuned for more details on that.

With his latest release, !Sooks said he felt good, but was nervous before as he was uncertain of how people would receive the music.

“As soon as it dropped, the response was great and I feel good. The response has been overwhelming because, like I said, you never know how people will relate.

I have been getting texts, calls and people seem to enjoy it and I think, since it’s a body of work, there is a favorite for everyone. People appreciate it more, because there is more time to listen to it and dissect it properly since it is a full body of work,” he said.

!Sooks said the EP’s dropping towards the festive season was intentional.

He stated that he had initially hoped to drop an EP end of October but, because the ‘Rocking the Daisies’ event was postponed to this coming weekend, he figured he should drop it before the event so that there was a week for the music to be out there and for people to listen to it whilst relating to the new music.

“It just made sense for me to drop it just before ‘Rocking The Daisies’ and I am actually looking forward to the event as I will be playing the new stuff. I look forward to the reactions as well,” he said.

Asked which song was his favorite, the spinner said he had been asked that question very often and his response was ‘all the songs are my favorites’.

He explained that there were some days where he felt like ‘Cry me a river’ was really good and, on other days, he did not like it at all.

“The songs are all important pieces of the puzzle and without one, the other does not make sense. They are all favourites and I love them all,” he said.
