Africa-Press – Eswatini. Capital city giants Mbabane Swallows will be without the services of five of their players when they face Manzini Wanderers this afternoon in Week 10 of the MTN Premier League.

The clash is billed for Mavuso Sports Centre, and kick-off is at 5pm where Swallows will be without Sandanezwe Mathabela, Ayanda Gadlela, Sandile Hlatjwako and Sibusiso Masuku due to injuries, while Sihlangu midfielder Neliso ‘Tiger’ Dlamini has been nabbed by the yellow card rule.

Dlamini is suspended with nine other Premier League players who include captain Lucky Gamedze, Sithembiso Msibi, Dumsani Dlamini and Mfundo Simelane of Madlenya. Illovo’s Sibongiseni Dlamini will miss this weekend’s match.

The Buccaneers Moneni Pirates will be minus their captain and long-serving defender Menzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane as Rangers defender Albert Nkosana is also suspended.

Swallows head coach Caleb Ngwenya said they were going into the game with a thin squad, but he would have to make do without these players.

“This is honestly a big number, but we have to continue without them. Preparations for this game were successful.

We did not any pressure of the first round incentive, the league has some pressure on its own. We will take one game at time as we are only left with four games,” he said.

Ngwenya said they would not read too much into the well documented struggles of Wanderers, and said he was expecting them to put up a fight as they were looking to get out of relegation.

Meanwhile, Wanderers coach Nyangayezizwe ‘Crooks’ Hlophe could not be drawn for comment at the time of compiling this report last night.

Wanderers Public Relations Officer (PRO) said this was big game, and that all their players were self-motivated for the encounter. He said they were fortunate not to have any injuries this time around and would field their strongest possible side.

“There no causalities, the players are all fine and ready for the game. Fans must come through and support the team. We are geared up for the game and the coach will field his best starting XI. Our supporters must bring E150 to register with the team under our slogan, which says ‘Vuka Weseli, It’s Time for Trophies.

We want to cause an upset and get back to winning ways,” he said.

He further appealed to supporters to contribute towards players’ salaries and they can send the contributions via MoMo at 7870 1520.
