Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini will receive more visitors from the Netherlands as travellers from that country have shown interest in visit the kingdom.

This is according to Eswatini Tourism acting Head of Marketing Chunkie Dlamini who is currently in the Netherlands for the Vakantibeurs Trade and Consumer Show where they are to promoting destination Eswatini to the Dutch market.

She said their interaction with the those who visited to their stand revealed that some have already bought tickets and were destined to Eswatini in the next few months.

“We are receiving a lot of tourists, especially the Dutch who are excited about the Kingdom of Eswatini. Some have been to Eswatini and have a lot of good things to say about our country which is very encouraging. Some have already bought their packages for 2024 and are keen to visit the country,” she said.

She said since the trade show started they have had a great number of visitors surpassing 200 which was a good number given that the people who came were travellers and travel agents who mean serious business. She said the stand positioned at Hall Seven, Stand E062, was a hive of activity given the number of visitors they received.

“The advantage is that we are with Raymond van der Meer who is a local representative of Big Game Parks in Netherlands. He is a Dutch national who is well versed with the Kingdom of Eswatini.

He is able to address all the questions and misconceptions that they might have about the country.

“But I must say that generally we are getting good feedback about the country from almost all those who have been to Eswatini,” she said.

Dlamini added that they were expecting even more people yesterday since it was the last day of the trade show that started on Wednesday.

“From what we are getting here it looks like we are in good track to meet the targets set by government for us.

We have now started recommending longer stays because our 2027 strategy is to increase the stay to three days and received two million visitors..

So far so good and we are hoping for positive results after this expo and looking forward to increased numbers of visitors this year,” she said.
