Africa-Press – Eswatini. Gogo Siphiwe Mavuso of Ndzingeni Inkhundla was almost in tears as she narrated how a snake was discovered under her bed in her previous stick and mud house.

Eswatini has about 70% of the population living below the line and, a majority of the citizens are urgently in need of accommodation and food.

The elderly woman was thanking Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) Thulisile Dladla when receiving a new house this week, the house was built by the Office of the DPM under the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA).

“The stick and mud house collapsed while I was inside sleeping and I don’t know how I survived”, she said.

The DPM further presented another new house to Mkhulu Moses Mncina, a neighbour to Gogo Siphiwe Mavuso.

Chiefs under Ndzingeni Inkhundla who were present during the official opening of the two(2) houses presented three(3) cows to King Mswati, Chief Prince Kekela donated two(2) cows and Chief Prince Mavelebaleni donated one.

Gcina ‘Singalwi’ Magagula, the Ndzingeni Member of Parliament(MP) was also present during the event.
