Africa-Press – Eswatini. A momentous occasion unfolded at Good Shepherd College of Health Sciences as His Majesty King Mswati III conferred certificates and diplomas to over 100 graduates in various health science disciplines.

The graduation ceremony, held on March 19, 2025, was a testament to the students’ dedication and perseverance in their studies. Graduates received qualifications in general nursing, midwifery, occupational health and safety, and other critical health fields, marking the beginning of their journey to serving the nation’s healthcare sector.

In his address, His Majesty commended the graduates for their unwavering commitment and discipline throughout their studies. He expressed confidence that they would contribute meaningfully to the healthcare system, ensuring quality service delivery in their respective fields.

Looking ahead, the King encouraged stakeholders to explore the possibility of elevating the college to a university, emphasizing the importance of expanding higher education opportunities. He recalled a similar request made during his visit to Ngwane Teachers College in Nhlangano last year.

Beyond celebrating the graduates, His Majesty also officially inaugurated the newly established outpatient department at Good Shepherd Catholic Hospital, further strengthening healthcare services in the region.

Before concluding his visit, the King toured various departments within the college and hospital, gaining insight into the institution’s facilities and operations. His visit extended into the evening, underscoring his commitment to the advancement of health sciences in Eswatini.

This historic day not only honored the graduates’ achievements but also reinforced the nation’s dedication to quality healthcare education and service delivery.
