The excitement for the upcoming MTN Bushfire Festival has reached a fever pitch with the announcement of the first artist drop for the event.
The line-up which was revealed at the launch of this year’s edition on Friday,features an impressive array of talent from across the globe, showcasing an eclectic mix of genres and cultural influences that will grace the stage on the 18th edition of MTN Bushfire Festival which will be held on May 30 – 01 June 2025.

Artist Highlights
340ml a Mozambican band formed in 2000, is celebrated for its bold fusion of Reggae, Dub, Jazz, and Afrobeat. Their name symbolizes cultural roots and authenticity.
ABAO, a Taiwanese star of Paiwan indigenous descent, blends Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, and Electronic music with traditional Paiwan folk sounds. Her efforts to preserve indigenous music have been recognized by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China (Taiwan).
Aymos is an award-winning South African singer renowned for his collaborations with prominent artists and contributions to the Amapiano and Afropop genres.
Boom Shaka, iconic pioneers of Kwaito music, continue to influence new generations with their groundbreaking rhythms and lyrics.
From Spain, Candeleros brings a unique blend of Afro-Venezuelan and Afro-Colombian rhythms, supported by the Embassy of Spain in Mozambique and Eswatini.
Crimson House, known for their vibrant performances, hails from Cape Town and celebrates life, love, and the human spirit through their music.
Zimbabwe’s Feli Nandi is an award-winning Afro-Jazz and Afro-Soul artist whose emotive performances are quickly gaining international recognition.
Grupo Mavichi, current winners of the Festival de Músicas del Pacífico Petronio Álvarez, showcases Colombia’s rich musical and cultural traditions, supported by the Colombian Presidential Agency for International Cooperation.
The South African duo iNkabi Zezwe, featuring Sjava and Big Zulu, celebrates their Zulu heritage through music, while Internet Girl, a dynamic trio from Cape Town, showcases a unique Hyperpunk sound.
Eswatini’s own Intsatsakusa* promises an explosive performance that revives the sacred Umthilane art form.
Other notable acts include iPhupho L’ka Biko, Jembaa Groove, Khole, Kujenga, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Lia Butler, Madala Kunene & Sibusile Xaba, Money Badoo, Nduduzo Makhathini Steam Down,Young Zesh x Lyrikal Busta, Zara McFarlane*, and Zee Nxumalo*, whose rise from TikTok sensation to Amapiano star has captivated audiences.
