“We particularly send our condolence to the Vatican, all followers of the Catholic faith and the rest of humanity. His Holiness’s passing is a great loss, not only to Catholic faithful across the world but to humanity as he was a strong moral voice against the senseless wars, economic exploitation and inequalities that have come to define the world we live in under capitalism.Pope Francis was a shining example of what it is to be a man of peace, a man of the people, a moral leader of the world, an activist for justice yet remains firmly grounded in his faith characterized by humanity, humility and empathy. While the world mourns the loss of a spiritual leader PUDEMO mourns a voice of conscience, a voice for the voiceless, a man of wisdom,” reads the statement in part, released by PUDEMO Secretary General Penuel Malinga on Tuesday.
