Africa-Press – Eswatini. Gogo Eswatini and S’lwane, the beloved stand-up comedy duo, are set to host the second edition of their annual comedy show, “Out Typa One Man Show,” this Friday at the Esibayeni Lodge’s Esangweni Auditorium.
This event not only promises laughter and entertainment but also aims to give back to the community by donating 25% of the ticket sales to various charitable causes.
The duo aims to make a significant impact with their contributions, which will be divided into five key themes:
10% for Application Fees: This portion will assist prospective students facing challenges in raising application fees for tertiary education for the 2025/’26 academic year. Gogo and S’lwane believe that every Swati student deserves the chance to fulfill their dreams.
5% for Mental Health Support: This contribution will help connect tertiary students with mental health resources, including professional support or transport to the National Psychiatric Referral Hospital. The duo recognizes the mental health challenges faced by many and hopes to provide crucial assistance.
5% for Basic Needs: This will support tertiary students with sanitary pads, food, and part-rent needs, allowing them to focus on their studies without the stress of basic necessities.
2.5% for School Supplies: Just in time for winter, this portion will be used to provide school shoes, jerseys, and blankets to children in need, in collaboration with local schools.
2.5% for Career Guidance*: This funding will subsidize career guidance programmes for high school students, aiming to better prepare them for their futures.
Gogo emphasizes the importance of their influence and the responsibility that comes with it: “What is the point of our influence if we cannot leverage it to influence the direction of the next person’s life?”* They invite the community to support this initiative, promising an unforgettable night filled with laughter.
Tickets for the show are available online and at selected outlets across Eswatini:
– General Tickets: E200.00
