Africa-Press – Eswatini. One thing I like about King Mswati these days is that, even if others could accuse those around him of any wrongdoing, he will find a way to verify the allegations before taking a decision against them, he did the same with alleged cattle thief Macaleni Dlamini.
Well, emaSwati have been crying in the wilderness about Macaleni Dlamini who would just invade communities and grab cattle in the name of the King and as you read this, this alleged cattle thief is owning hundreds of cattle.
The powers of the Monarchy should not be abused to oppress vulnerable emaSwati and I am happy to learn that finally, this alleged thief is in court, facing the law.
One of the King’s bodyguards informed me the very same day when Mswati was launching an investigation against Macaleni Dlamini, the royal guard said; “INkhosi seyikhiphe imoto ilandzela Macaleni lotfunywe kutsi amikise tinkhomo e-Dalcrue, ifuna kubona kutsi vele uteba mbamba yini letinkhomo”.
Personally, I feel the King must be applauded where he has done right particularly, putting an extra effort to verify allegations against those around him, it’s important for a Head of State to take decisions based on facts.
Macaleni Dlamini must face the law and account for all the cattle he allegedly stole from powerless citizens using the King’s name, we don’t want thieves in this country who are taking advantage of the poor and vulnerable.
