ESWATINI READY TO STRENGTHEN TIES WITH USA – PM DLAMINI

Africa-Press – Eswatini. He touched down with purpose in his stride and praise on his lips, and by the time Pastor Mark Burns spoke, the Kingdom was already feeling the diplomatic glow.

The American televangelist and spiritual advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump may be in Eswatini for the Faith and Leadership Summit, but he’s also making holy waves in high offices.

On Monday evening, he made a bold stop at the Private and Cabinet Offices in Mbabane, where he met Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini and addressed journalists from various media houses.

It wasn’t your typical protocol visit. With cameras flashing and notebooks open, the preacher declared Eswatini “the real Wakanda Forever!”, a comment that drew laughter and admiration from top government officials and the press alike.

PM Dlamini, who was flanked by Justice Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu, Parliament Clerk Benedict Xaba, Malkerns Mayor Bongani Mabuza, and other dignitaries, said Burns’ visit had come at the perfect time. “We shared with Pastor Burns how proud we are of the people of Eswatini, and we asked him to carry that message directly to President Trump,” said the Prime Minister.

Burns, who entered the country through the Ngwenya Border accompanied by a high-powered delegation including Concordia Forum President Mudassah Ahmed and journalist Joseph Hammond, told the press that his trip wasn’t sponsored or politically orchestrated. “I wasn’t sent by anyone,” he said. “I was led by purpose.”

Known for his passionate speeches and pro-family values stance, Burns praised Eswatini’s progress and applauded His Majesty the King’s leadership, calling the country “a shining example on the continent.” He promised to take Eswatini’s story to the global stage. “This nation is doing well,” he said. “I will be your loudest cheerleader. This place is gold for investors.”

The PM described the encounter as more than just a diplomatic courtesy. “We were deeply moved by his commendation of Eswatini and His Majesty’s visionary leadership,” he said, expressing hope that the visit would boost ties between the two nations.

Burns didn’t shy away from addressing difficult matters. In front of the media, he referenced the U.S. executive order that halted funding to some African countries, including Eswatini. “Yes, that happened. But I’m here to preach peace, purpose, and people-first diplomacy,” he said.

Still in the country ahead of Tuesday’s Faith and Leadership Summit at the Examinations Council auditorium, Burns said he was looking forward to exploring Eswatini further and, most importantly, connecting with its people.

With bold words, open arms and a dose of Southern charm, Pastor Burns didn’t just visit, he made Eswatini feel seen.
