Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Ministry of Agriculture is calling upon all livestock farmers in the Shiselweni Region to avail their cattle for foot-and-mouth disease vaccination.
According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, livestock farmers around the areas affected by the disease will have to avail their livestock from Monday (June 30, 2025) for vaccination. This will take place in different areas until Thursday next week. Some farmers will be serviced on Monday, while others are serviced on other days, for the duration of next week.
The farmers will be serviced according to the dip tanks at which their domestic animals are registered. Vaccination time starts at 6am. The Ministry pleads with all of the livestock farmers to make sure that all of their cattle are availed for vaccination, as this will go a long way in making sure that the disease is contained and eventually eliminated.
