Africa-Press – Eswatini. Instacash Managing Director Mandla Cheeks Nxumalo is spearheading efforts to elevate Eswatini football to the international stage through a promising partnership with the Pitso Mosimane Youth Football Program. In a high-profile dinner, Nxumalo met with the General Manager and Chief Operations Officer of the respected South African youth football initiative to lay the groundwork for a collaboration offering local athletes unprecedented international opportunities.
According to Nxumalo, this emerging partnership aims to provide standout performers in the Instacash tournament an invaluable opportunity to showcase their talents beyond Eswatini’s borders. “We want our young footballers to have a fair chance to prove themselves and gain exposure on international platforms,” Nxumalo stated via his social media channels, emphasizing the positive impact such alliances can have on the development of local sports.
As part of this mission, key representatives from the Pitso Mosimane Schools Soccer program are currently visiting the Kingdom on a fact-finding assignment and to explore avenues of cooperation that will empower high school soccer stars. “Over the next two days, our delegation will visit four schools each representing different regions to gather insights on how best to structure the partnership,” Nxumalo revealed.
The selected schools are Mhlatane (Hhohho champions), Mpaka (Lubombo champions), Manzini Central (Manzini champions), and Evelyn Baring (national champions and Shiselweni representatives). This targeted approach seeks to ensure regional inclusivity and identify top talent across Eswatini.
Seasoned football administrator and Premier League of Eswatini founding member Celani Shongwe is facilitating the initiative, marking another step toward building a promising future for the Kingdom’s aspiring footballers. This move stands to not only strengthen local football but also offer life-changing prospects for Eswatini’s youth.
