Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini Mobile has concluded its much-anticipated iPhone 16 Pro Max Grand Giveaway by handing over the last four smartphones to lucky customers from each region of the country.

The telecommunications company began the competition in April this year, with the aim of giving back to its loyal customers while promoting digital inclusion. In total, six brand-new iPhone 16 Pro Max devices were given away over three months.

The final draw on July 1, 2025 saw one winner from each region of the country walk away with the latest Apple smartphone. These winners were Luyanda Noxolo Mkhatshwa, a university student from the Hhohho region, currently studying at Christian University, Nkosingiphile Sidudla Sihlongonyane, a teacher from the Manzini region, who teaches at Manzini Nazarene High School, Bongiwe Nomvuyo Simelane, a member of the Umbutfo Eswatini Defence Force (UEDF), representing the Lubombo region, and Themba Benedict Thwala, a dedicated farmer from the Shiselweni region.

The first two iPhones were given away earlier in the campaign to Emmanuel Masuku, a waiter from Mbabane and Nomphumelelo Dube an accountant at Pick n Pay in Matsapha..

These giveaways form part of Eswatini Mobile’s broader commitment to digital empowerment. The company said the initiative is also in line with His Majesty King Mswati III’s call to bridge the social and technological divide within the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Eswatini Mobile CEO Sydney Sichula said the company is committed to reaching all corners of the country with meaningful opportunities and access to technology.

“This competition is more than just a giveaway. It is about connecting people, empowering lives and responding to the national call to ensure no one is left behind in the digital space,” said Sichula.

The CEO further expressed delight over the diversity of the winners.

“We are proud to say that these phones have gone to people from all walks of life, students, teachers, entrepreneurs, and farmers, which reflects the diversity and reach of Eswatini Mobile. Everyone deserves a chance to access modern tools that can open up doors, whether it’s for learning, teaching, or running a business,” he added.

Sichula noted that smartphones like the iPhone 16 Pro Max are not just luxurious gadgets, but powerful tools that can help people unlock knowledge, grow businesses, and stay connected with the world.

The CEO further thanked Eswatini Mobile customers for their continued support, saying more exciting customer-focused campaigns are on the horizon.

“We want our customers to know that we appreciate them. Competitions like this are just one of the ways we show that appreciation while working towards a more connected and empowered Eswatini.”

Customers were entered into the competition by using Eswatini Mobile services, specifically data bundles of up to 40GB and above. Winners were randomly selected through a transparent draw process.

According to Sichula, as Eswatini Mobile continues to grow its customer base and network coverage across the Kingdom, initiatives such as the iPhone Grand Giveaway underline the company’s firm stance on inclusivity, innovation, and national development.
