Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Mbabane Alliance Church has appointed Machawe Sibandze as its stand-in pastor for the next 12 months, following the retirement of long-serving Reverend Johannes Mazibuko.
The announcement was made during Sunday’s service, marking the beginning of a transitional period as the church embarks on the process of appointing a substantive pastor.
Sibandze, who has been a dedicated member of the church and has served in various leadership capacities, will oversee the spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and administrative duties of the congregation during his tenure.
Church elders expressed confidence in Sibandze’s ability to shepherd the flock through this period of change. “We are grateful to God for providing us with a capable and committed leader to take the pulpit during this important time,” a church representative said.
Reverend Mazibuko, who retired after decades of faithful service, leaves behind a legacy of strong leadership and unwavering dedication to the growth of the Mbabane Alliance Church.
